Britt James: Founder of Sol Sista Co.

Britt James created Sol Sista Co. after rediscovering herself and the ocean during a challenging chapter of her life. As a surfer and mother of two, she struggled with feelings of disconnection after the birth of her children and during the 2020 COVID lockdown. Seeking balance, Britt turned to the cold, open waters of Torquay’s Surf Coast, where the ocean became her sanctuary.

Amid her reconnection with nature, she noticed the toll sun, salt, and wind were taking on her skin and hair. Frustrated by the lack of hydrating, protective products that worked for her active lifestyle, she decided to create her own solution.

Sol Sista Co. was born—a brand dedicated to conscious, multi-functional beauty that nourishes and protects, empowering women to embrace life outdoors. Inspired by her journey, Britt’s vision is to help women feel radiant, confident, and ready for every sun-drenched adventure.
