Sol Sista Co. X Ellie Harrison Sponsorship
Britt JamesAt Sol Sista Co., we’re all about supporting women who follow what lights them up — who tune into their own rhythm, chase their dreams, and live a life that feels true.
Over the past few months, we’ve connected with so many incredible women… and one in particular has truly inspired us.
We’re beyond excited to announce our very first official sponsorship with none other than up-and-coming professional surfer, Ellie Harrison!
A few months ago, we sent Ellie our BUTTA BLOCK zinc to try — and she genuinely fell in love with it. Not long after, she reached out and asked if we would sponsor her. She had a bigger offer from a well-known sunscreen brand on the table, but chose Sol Sista Co. because our values aligned — we're a 100% natural, female-led, female-focused brand that’s about so much more than skincare.
Ellie embodies everything Sol Sista Co. stands for. She’s grounded, real, passionate, and in tune with what matters. She’s finding her own path, doing it with heart, and inspiring a whole new wave of young women as she goes.
We’re so proud to welcome Ellie into the Sol Sista Collective!
We also caught up with Ellie to talk about what lights her up + her journey so far!
You’ve been surfing since you were four, which is amazing! But what’s been the biggest inner journey for you — what have you learned about yourself growing up in the surf world?
The biggest inner journey for me growing up as a surfer has been gaining confidence and forever believing in myself. Surfing has taught me to embrace the present moment, let go of what you can’t control, and trust that with time good things come just continue to work hard and back yourself.
Social media is a big part of life as a pro athlete these days. How do you stay grounded and true to yourself while showing up online?
I’ve always struggled with utilising the ability of promoting myself on social media but the older I get I realise that I can use it to connect with true authentic brands like sol sista, and help promote good quality products.
My confidence with my body ebbs and flows for sure but I’ve realised that without this strong body I wouldn’t be able to do what I do today. My advice For young girls starting up with any sport would be to focus on what your body can achieve not just how it looks. The more you value your body for its ability, the more confident you’ll become. Everyone’s body is different and it’s all about embracing what makes you unique. Don’t let outside pressures define you, your worth is not tied to an image, it’s tied to your character and what you do with your skill.
What makes you feel most lit up right now? What are you excited about in this next chapter of your journey?
Every athlete has moments where things feel tough — whether it’s self-doubt, burnout, or just a bad day. What do you do when you hit a low point, and how do you pull yourself back into alignment?
Resetting - Getting into routine, eating well and exercising helps me pull myself back into alignment however also reminding myself that it is okay to have breaks and off days!
